The StarHub 33rd Singapore Laser Open is drawing nearer. It’ll be my very first sailing competition at a national level. I’m hyped up!
Today’s sailing was fun.. well atleast towards the second half when the wind picked up. God I love hiking out. Well anyway, just thought I’ll share with you guys the description for one of my Facebook group.. just for laughs and giggles.
“This group is for all those sailors that love to sail lasers, used to love sailing lasers, hate sailing lasers, complain about sailing lasers, and every feeling in between.
Between those days that theres no wind and those other days where you feel that your quads are just going to burst from all the pain, laser sailing is just what you do.
Its kinda a pain being in a small freaking box and trying to tack under that stupid boom when the vang is cranked on and then your leg gets tired from kicking out the water because whoever designed the laser thought it would be wicked cool to make it impossible to bail the thing.
And unless you like sailing alone, sailing this boat makes you long for someone to talk to but you cant so you end up talking and/or singing to yourself for entertainment.
But in the end whether you’re sailing a laser or not, you’re just happy to be on the water.”
Whoo today’s sailing was pretty cool. Wind was light when we sailed out. After that it got really really strong because there was a storm coming. Wind was about 11.. 12 knots. Sailing downwind in strong wind is a SCARY business.
But anyway, I soooo wanna watch The Ugly Truth. Still looking for companion though (looks over to you know who 
). I seriously like romance comedy movies.
My Dream Ride

Honestly, I am an absolute car lover. I could post like a hundred more pictures of other cars which are all oh-so-sexy as well. But I’m too lazy =P
Moments of Truth. Anyone watch it? While the show might be entertaining to watch because of all the controversies and really personal questions, I question the participants decision to join the show. Is being heart broken, even the possibility of having your family torn apart, worth the money? No. Period.
While I agree on the notion that its always good to build up your family base on trust and transparency, especially to your other half, there are definitely other ways to reveal a secret.
I’ve decided I’ll be getting Samsung Jet 
I was kinda juggling between Jet and Omnia II. However after reading the reviews, I decided to go with Jet. Omnia II is kinda laggy even with a 800MHz proccessor. When swipping through the 3 different homescreens some apps take even up to 6 seconds to load. I’m someone who hates lag >.> IMO I think the lag is caused by WinMo. Other phones which runs on WinMo OS looks laggy as well. Plus Jet is cheaper (I’m trying to save money ).
Oh well, nothing else to say so. Thats all for now.
Okay so! I decided I’ll not get the Apple iPhone 3Gs. Why? Because it simply cost too much. Plus phone technology advances so quickly, 6 months later you’ll see another Apple iPhone model so its really not worth spending 800 bucks for a phone when you can get one that is still very good at half the price. So I’ve kinda shortlisted the possible phones that I may get. Samsung Jet, Samsung Omnia II and the Nokia 5530. Any advice on the phones people?
Exams are finally overrrr. Now its 8 weeks of break. I don’t feel like working, but sadly I really do need money to support my sailing.
Race practice on Sunday was good and bad. The bad was that mid afternoon the wind was dead. The good news is that we had strong winds at the start and at the end of our practice. For the first race, I decided to go for the pin end start because the boat end was really drifting back so there was a pin end bias. So I did a pin end port tack start and it paid off. I got first woohoo. The thing about this race practice is that I’m always the youngest and I get to sail with people who have a heck lot of experience in sailing, so I get to learn really alot from them. Lets skip the middle part of the practice since the wind was dead and even someone swimming would travel faster than me. So we had two more practice races towards the end of the session. I got 3rd and 4th respectively out of 8. I would say I did pretty good. Considering how I screwed up my starting and actually gained places. So my weak point is my starting and I have to really work hard on that, because in sailing races starting is the most important part. Still, I think I did good considering I’ve only been sailing for a year while the rest there have been sailing for like 10 to 20 years or something.
In ISAF Laser World Championship, Paul Goodison takes the Gold again. God, he is like one of my sailing idols. Kudos to him.
